Welcome to the Macho T/A Registry!

Welcome to the Macho T/A Registry!

Our website aims to provide an official registry to authenticate and document the Macho T/A’s made between 1977 - 1980.

Use the menu tab at the top to browse the Macho T/A’s we have documented by year model, and number grouping!

1977 Macho T/A’s:

6/24

1978 Macho T/A’s:

101/204

1979 Macho T/A’s found:

51/96

1980 Macho T/A’s found:

3/6

If you own a Macho T/A, please get in contact with us! We are aiming to document the story of every Macho T/A made, so if you have some stories to tell or know of one somewhere, please reach out to us! We have found so many missing Machos based on rumours and sightings, so if you have any recollection of a Macho T/A from back in the day, or think you may know where one is, fill out the contact form above and share your story! We need your help in order to document and catalogue all these rare Firebirds!

If you wish to have your Macho T/A authenticated, submit a contact form request using the contact form on the menu tab on the left, and we can get you in touch with Rob Thomas. Rob has archived all of the original DKM production documents for these Machos, and can provide you with new Macho decals, DKM ID plaques, horn buttons, and all the original documentation.

Barry with his brother Bruce at the DKM dealership floor in front of the DKM Tallons circa 1979. Barry has been around the Macho’s from Day One, and has collected them for just about as long. Barry sought to create the registry to help document each T/A’s and ensure the genuine Macho T/A’s still remaining can be validated.

Just a few of Barry’s many Machos, ranging all through ‘77 to 1980

A small fraction of the DKM cars Rob has owned, as well some of his others sprinkled in, like the one of very few remaining California T/A Outlaw Special Editions

Rob Thomas, Record Custodian

Rob has been one of the key driving factors that have allowed the Macho T/A to retain it’s relevance today, by preserving the original records, saving countless Machos from junkyards, and tracking many more. Rob purchased all the remaining records from DKM and has preserved all the original records for 1978-1979 DKM modified cars. Fortunately he did, as the remainder of the records were destroyed in a fire decades ago.
